iTouch pioneered mobile content in mass market retailers in the UK. In 2002 iTouch provided the first ever “risk free” retail solution in Tesco, allowing end users to choose and purchase a wide range of pre packaged mobile content products in store. Each individual pack was activated at the point of purchase. iTouch provided the technology for retailers to activate mobile content packs via their EPOSS terminals, eliminating shrinkage, and making mobile content cash positive from launch. Retailers took payment at the point of sale, and only later passed payment to iTouch, net of the retained retailer margin.
